I am a retired University lecturer, and I have been an avid photographer for some 50 years.   My wife and I love to travel.   We like to see the US and we have had some wonderful journeys over the past 20 years.   We went to Peru and Ecuador where we saw and photographed the plains of Nazca, Machu Picchu, a bit of the Amazon rainforest, and of course, The Galapagos.   Less than a year later we spent two weeks driving around England (her birthplace.) Photographer Allen Sheffield Shows Two New Images

El Paso, TX - June 22nd, 2015

The El Paso Art Association, El Paso, Texas is opening a new show and sale, AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, at Crossland Gallery, 500 W. Paisano. Photographer Allen Sheffield's images: "US Capitol with a Duck" and "Fort Davis, Texas" will be featured. The "Gala Opening and Awards Presentation for this show will be Friday, June 26, from 5 - 7PM. The show will run through Saturday, July 25. Mr. Sheffield currently has a one-man exhibit of 14 images of "People of the Amazon Rainforest" showing at The Doris Van Doren Branch of The El Paso Public Library. This exhibit opened on June 1 and will run through July.

Photographer Allen Sheffield Opens One Man Exhibit

El Paso, TX - June 6th, 2015

On June 1, 2015 Photographer Allen Sheffield opened his one man exhibit "People of the Amazon Rainforest" at the Dorris Van Doren Library located at 551 E Redd Road in west El Paso, Texas. The photos were made during his recent journey on the Amazon River in northern Peru near the city of Iquitos. The exhibit will run through June 30. Library hours are Monday 10-6; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 10-7; Fridays 1-6; Saturdays 10-6.
